Beagle Watch officers and SAPS arrested four men after a car chase and crash exposed housebreaking tools in Allen’s Nek.
The Beagle Watch Specialised Crime Unit arrested four suspects on May 6, following a high-speed chase that ended in a crash near Clearwater.
Law enforcement had requested the private security team’s help in locating a Hyundai Accent linked to a house robbery in Randpark Ridge. It is believed the same suspects may also be responsible for another house robbery in the area.
CCTV updates from the Beagle Watch Control Room helped track the vehicle, and it was spotted in Allen’s Nek. When the team tried to stop the car, the driver sped off, refusing to comply.
The chase moved along Jim Fouché Road and onto Hendrik Potgieter Drive. The suspects made a U-turn and headed in the direction of Clearwater, but while attempting another U-turn, the driver lost control and crashed.

Fortunately, no civilians were harmed, and there were no serious injuries.
The Beagle Watch team, supported by law enforcement, acted swiftly and managed to arrest all four suspects at the scene. A search of the vehicle uncovered tools commonly used in housebreakings, including a crowbar, monkey wrench, sledgehammer, gloves, bags, and dagga. Officers also found false number plates.
The suspects were handed over to the South African Police Service (SAPS) and are expected to face charges related to the robberies.
Beagle Watch has thanked its team and law enforcement for their quick response and ongoing efforts to make the community safer.
