A Limpopo businessman and owner of the popular Limpopo Anti-Drug Gangsterism and Crime (LADGAC) Rehabilitation Centre has been released on R50,000 bail after appearing in the Polokwane Magistrates’ Court on charges of malicious damage to property.
Tsebe Phillimon Moloto, popularly known as Mr Moloto, faces two counts of malicious damage to property. He also made a brief appearance in the Seshego Magistrates’ Court in connection with one of the charges.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), Moloto, 51, and the complainant were previously involved in a romantic relationship and were business partners at the LADGAC Rehabilitation Centre in Seshego.
The NPA said that after their personal and business relationship ended, the complainant established her own rehabilitation centre.
It’s alleged that on June 28, 2026, Moloto poured a flammable substance onto a Toyota Hilux belonging to the complainant while it was parked at her parents’ home in Seshego Zone 3.
In a separate incident, prosecutors allege that Moloto set fire to a signboard advertising the complainant’s new rehabilitation business in Ladanna.
Authorities estimated the damage caused by the incidents at approximately R800,000.
The matter has been postponed to 22 September 2026 to allow police to continue their investigations.
Mr. Moloto has built a strong presence on social media, especially on TikTok, where he is widely recognized for visiting the homes of individuals struggling with substance abuse and removing them for rehabilitation, often without their consent.
Many families throughout South Africa turn to Mr. Moloto after exhausting other options and feeling that existing support systems have failed them. When a person with a substance use disorder becomes aggressive, commits theft within the household, or consistently refuses treatment, LADGAC is contacted to intervene and help resolve the situation.
Unlike conventional rehabilitation centres that depend on individuals choosing to admit themselves, LADGAC takes a more active, community-focused approach to intervention. The organisation responds directly to families facing severe challenges with loved ones who are battling addiction.
