Pam Andrews says husband’s breakup will change their open-marriage dynamic

Actress and content creator Pam Andrews has given her followers a glimpse into her open marriage, revealing why her husband’s latest breakup is not exactly good news for her.

Andrews, who has been open about her unconventional marriage and decision to live separately from her husband, recently vented in a vlog after learning that he had broken up with his girlfriend.

According to the former “Rhythm City” actress, the breakup means her husband will likely be spending more time at her home, something she is not particularly looking forward to.

‘Now he’s gonna be hanging around my place’

Andrews explained that her husband has always had girlfriends during their marriage, but the relationships tend not to last very long.

“He just broke up with his girlfriend, which for me is not good news because now he’s gonna be hanging around my place and just telling me what to do and bossing me around and whatever and stuff like that,” she said.

The content creator went on to explain why she and her husband have chosen to maintain separate homes, saying they struggle to spend extended periods together without arguing.

“That’s why we can’t live together because we literally can’t be in the same room for more than two and a half hours. If we reach three hours and we’re in the same room, it’s a war, and I don’t want my son to live in an environment like that.

“That’s one of the reasons why we decided to live separately and to also have an open marriage,” Andrews explained.

‘He dates; I can date. Life is good’

Andrews said she enjoys the freedom that comes with being married while maintaining her own home and allowing her husband to date other women.

She revealed that both of them are permitted to pursue other relationships, although she has not been particularly interested in dating herself.

According to Andrews, she is content with her life as it is and has everything she needs, while acknowledging that her husband approaches dating differently.

Reflecting on their relationship, she questioned whether couples who have been together for more than a decade can realistically maintain the same level of romantic passion.

“You know, I mean once you’ve been together for over 10 years. Are you really still passionately and romantically interested in your partner? Come on. Eventually, they just become like your roommate, someone who just lives in the house and annoys you and you end up fighting and doing all these things,” she said.

Rather than allowing their differences to create a tense home environment, Andrews said they have found a way to remain together while prioritising their peace and their son’s well-being.

“We found a very beautiful way to still be together and raise our son, and there’s peace and everyone loves each other, but you go home. I have my house. He dates; I can date. Life is good,” she added.

A new neighbour adds to the drama

Andrews later suggested that her husband’s increased interest in spending time at her home might have another explanation.

She revealed that she has a new male neighbour and jokingly speculated that her husband could be trying to mark his territory.

While the couple’s arrangement may not work for everyone, Andrews has consistently been candid about how they navigate their marriage, with separate homes and the freedom to date forming part of their approach to maintaining their relationship.
