Karen Mthethwa levels up at YFM as Baxbara Moagi and Munaka join youth radio station

Youth-driven radio station, Y (YFM), has announced its line-up changes for 2026. A few new faces join the station as Karen Mthethwa continues to grow at the station.

Mthethwa joined YFM in 2014 after winning Switch Be The Next Presenter Search and since then, she has been growing at the station. She now enters a brand-new era as the mid-morning slot 09.00am to 12.00 pm, with The Glow Up.

She takes on a leading role and ushers in a fresh chapter for the show, as she steps into the shoes once filled by radio presenter Xtremme, a long-standing voice who has been part of Y’s journey for over a decade as he pursues other business.

Media powerhouse Barbara ‘Baxbara’ Moagi joins forces with Tulz Madala as the brand new co-host on Uncensored, 8.00pm–10.00pm, forming a fearless duo ready to push boundaries and take conversations to the next level.

The station bids farewell to Dimpho Makgotho, a Y after four years, as she steps away to pursue other ventures.

Hip Hop at Y is stepping into a new golden era, with fresh voices DJ Sliqe & Roiii taking the reins every Sunday evening from 7.00pm–10.00pm.

From the world of podcasts, Munaka joins the weekend line-up stepping into The Rizz on Saturdays at 5.00pm – 6.00pm. An already familiar face in the entertainment streets, Munaka is set to spotlight rising stars and bridge the gap between what’s hot in the streets and what’s next on Y.

Popular DJ and music producer has his full circle moment as he takes over Saturday nights with Karma Karma Radio at 9.00pm – 10.00pm. Also joining the lineup is Kmass for the weekend 10-2pm slot.

The Breakfast show The Way Up hosted by Nia Brown and Okay Wasabi, alongside Home Run’s afternoon show with Ayanda MVP and co-host Sinaye Kotobe, remain the same with no changes to the two most popular shows on the station.
