Acacia Primary School is mourning the loss of beloved pupil Omuhle Siyamthanda Khumalo, who her school family remembered for her kindness, joy and infectious smile.
In a message shared with the school community, Acacia Primary described Omuhle’s passing as a devastating loss, saying the school had “lost a daughter, friend and sister”.
“Omuhle brought kindness and joy to our classroom every day. We will always remember her contagious smile and infectious hugs,” the school said.
The school said Omuhle’s positive energy had touched those around her and that her absence would leave a painful void in the classroom.
“Her positive energy could lift the spirits of all around her.”
While she may no longer be present in the classroom, the school said the love and kindness she shared would remain with those who knew her.
“Omuhle leaves an empty space in our classroom, but her kindness and love shared with us will stay forever,” the school said.
Prayers for the family
The school also called on its community to support one another as they grieve and asked for prayers for Omuhle’s family.
Shalaine Jhuri expressed her condolences, sending strength to those closest to the pupil.
“How truly sad. God grant the family, friends and classmates strength during this difficult time. Rest in eternal glory, baby,” Jhuri said.
Rachel KaThembekile also shared a heartfelt tribute to Omuhle and extended her condolences to everyone affected by the loss.
“Rest easy, Angel. Condolences to the family, friends, your class teacher and the whole school,” KaThembekile said.
Mbally Sithole also joined those mourning Omuhle’s passing, offering another message of support to the grieving school community.
“Rest in peace, beautiful soul. Your memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved you,” Sithole said.
The school ended its tribute with the words: “Hamba kahle ezulwini, mtanami”, meaning “Go well in heaven, my child.”
