The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued an alert for extremely high fire danger conditions in parts of the Eastern Cape.
The warning applies to the Enoch Mgijima, Intsika Yethu and Emalahleni local municipalities, where conditions are expected to increase the risk of veld fires.
No weather advisories have been issued for the rest of the country.
Most provinces are expected to experience fine weather, with cool to warm daytime temperatures. Morning fog is forecast in parts of Mpumalanga, Limpopo, KwaZulu-Natal, the Free State and the Northern Cape.
Gauteng will be fine and cool, becoming warm in the far north, with a moderate UVB sunburn index.
The Western Cape will be cloudy over the south and western interior, with morning fog patches. Conditions will be partly cloudy and cool elsewhere, while the north-eastern parts of the province are expected to remain fine. The province has a very high UVB sunburn index.
Along the coast, fresh to strong north-westerly winds are expected over the south-western Western Cape, while moderate to fresh south-westerly winds are forecast along parts of the Eastern Cape coastline later in the day.
KwaZulu-Natal is expected to see morning fog over the interior before clearing to fine to partly cloudy conditions, with cool to warm temperatures. Coastal winds will become fresh at times during the afternoon.
