After more than three years of family feuds, betrayal, power struggles and unexpected twists, e.tv’s “Isitha: The Enemy” is set to come to an end.
The popular drama will air its final episode on April 23, 2027, bringing an end to one of the channel’s most significant modern-day dramas.
The announcement comes as e.tv continues to reshape its primetime offering, with several established shows reaching their conclusions while a new generation of dramas is introduced.

“Isitha: The Enemy” was launched in 2023 following the success of “The Black Door”, carrying elements of the Sokhulu family’s world into a new story.
Over the past three years, the series has developed its own identity, exploring themes of family, ambition, betrayal, survival and power.
The drama has also earned industry recognition, including SAFTA and Royalty Soapie Awards recognition in categories such as Best Achievement in Original Music/Score – Telenovela, Best Achievement in Cinematography and Outstanding Light Direction.
As the series heads towards its final episode, viewers can expect the drama to remain intense.
The upcoming Bulldozed storyline, which centres on the destruction of shacks and the impact it has on communities, will set off a chain of events involving conflict, heartbreak and major consequences.
Death, unexpected twists and new characters are also expected to feature as the series moves towards its conclusion.
Helga Palmer, Group Head of Content Development & Strategy at eMedia Investments, said the show had played an important role in the broadcaster’s storytelling journey.
“Isitha: The Enemy has been an important part of e.tv’s storytelling journey, and we are incredibly proud of the impact it has made.”
Palmer added that the conclusion of the series was part of e.tv’s broader move towards a new wave of drama.
KB Motsilanyane joins the final stretch
Among the new faces joining “Isitha: The Enemy” is actress and musician Kabelo “KB” Motsilanyane, who joins the cast as Dineo Mtshali.
Her arrival comes as the drama enters its final chapter, with the show’s creators promising that there is still plenty of story to unfold before audiences say goodbye.
Mandla N, co-founder and executive producer of Black Brain Pictures, said creating the series had allowed the production team to take the world established in “The Black Door” in a new direction.
He said the final stretch would retain the bold storytelling and unexpected twists that had characterised the drama.

“Isitha: The Enemy” is not the only established e.tv drama to receive its final bow.
The broadcaster has been undergoing a significant programming refresh, with “House of Zwide” and “Kelders van Geheime” both ending in 2026. e.tv said the two series were conceived as complete stories and would conclude at their creative peaks rather than being stretched beyond their intended arcs.
New dramas are already changing e.tv’s primetime lineup
Rather than simply removing established shows, e.tv has been using the changes to introduce new local productions.
Among the biggest additions are “eGagasini: Waves of Change” and “The Four of Us”, which premiered on June 29, 2026, as part of the channel’s new primetime “Golden Hour”.
“eGagasini: Waves of Change”, which airs at 19:30, is set against Durban’s music scene and follows three friends whose lives change after their music video goes viral.
At 20:00, “The Four of Us” continues the new drama block, bringing another story centred on relationships, ambition, family and betrayal.
The two shows replaced established titles in e.tv’s primetime schedule, including “House of Zwide.
“Isitha: The Enemy” will be on e.tv at 8.30PM, with the final episodes leading up to the series’ conclusion on April 23, 2027.
