Singer-songwriter PinkPantheress is set to make her feature film acting debut in an upcoming untitled movie from Oscar-winning directing duo Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, better known as the Daniels.
According to an exclusive from “Deadline”, the “Stateside” hitmaker joins an impressive cast that already includes Matt Damon, Sandra Oh, Charles Melton, Sean Kaufman, Silvia Dionicio, Jackson Kelly, Kerrice Brooks, Thalia Dudek and Michael Gandolfini.
While details about the film, including the storyline and PinkPantheress’ role, are still being kept under wraps, the project marks the Daniels’ return to the big screen following the success of their Academy Award-winning film “Everything Everywhere All at Once”.
As per reports, the filmmakers are producing the project with Universal Pictures, with its theatrical release currently scheduled for November 2027.
Although music has been her main focus since breaking through in 2021, stepping in front of the camera feels like a natural next move for the 25-year-old artist, whose personality and interviews have become just as popular online as her music.
The acting news comes after another standout year for PinkPantheress. At the 2026 Grammy Awards, she earned nominations for Best Dance/Electronic Album for “Fancy That” and Best Dance Pop Recording for “Illegal”.
She has also continued collecting major career milestones, becoming the first woman and youngest recipient of the BRIT Award for Producer of the Year, while cementing herself as one of the most influential young artists shaping pop and electronic music.
Known for blending UK garage, drum and bass, alternative pop and R&B into her own signature sound, PinkPantheress has built a loyal global fan base with tracks including “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2”, “Stateside” and “Illegal”.
Her journey into the spotlight has been anything but conventional. Before becoming one of the UK’s biggest breakout stars, the singer, whose real name is Victoria Walker, was uploading short snippets of songs she recorded in her bedroom to TikTok, SoundCloud and Spotify under the name “Vbw”, using her initials.
In 2021, those clips caught the internet’s attention, with millions of people using them as the soundtrack to trends on TikTok.

As more listeners discovered her music, curiosity grew around the artist behind the songs, especially because she initially kept her identity private.
A quick search reveals that her stage name also came about by chance.
She originally wanted to go by “Pantheress”, but after finding the username was already taken, she added “Pink” because of her love for the “Pink Panther” films. The name stuck and soon became recognised around the world.
