Former actress and content creator Pam Andrews has made an unexpected plea to her followers after some people decided that her business WhatsApp line was the perfect place to send unsolicited nude pictures and explicit videos.
Taking to Instagram, the former “Rhythm City” star shared a humorous but firm message, asking people to stop sending inappropriate content to the number linked to her business.
For those who may not know, Andrews has been running a business that purchases catalytic converters from people across South Africa, with a dedicated WhatsApp line set up for enquiries and negotiations.
However, according to the actress, some users have had very different ideas about how the number should be used.
“So you guys know I have my business. If you didn’t know, my business is buying catalytic converters from people,” she explained.
“And then also attached to that is a WhatsApp phone number, and that is only meant to be for the catalytic converters. That is not my phone number.”
Andrews clarified that she does not personally manage the account, as one of her business partners handles the administrative side of the operation.
“My business partner has been doing this admin for me. He’s been showing me some of the messages that you guys have been sending. Oh my goodness. Why are you guys sending naked pictures?”
She revealed that some people had even sent explicit and intimate pictures.
“Some of you are even sending pictures of you touching yourselves and nude pictures. That is for the business.”
While Andrews joked that she was “very flattered”, she made it clear that the messages had become too much, especially for the person managing the account.
“For me, it’s very funny, but you guys are traumatising my business partner. Stop it,” she said with a laugh.
The actress also joked that the explicit content wasn’t limited to men.

“There were actually a few females as well. Sorry, I’m straight, but very nice thingies. You guys are very naughty.”
Despite the unusual inbox activity, Andrews took the opportunity to thank people who have legitimately supported her business.
“Thank you so much. If you want to make some extra money and you just have some catalytic converters laying around in your garage or under your bed or wherever, send me a WhatsApp. Let’s talk.”
The humorous video comes as Andrews continues to embrace life beyond acting.
After relocating to the UK, the actress previously revealed that she had decided not to return to the entertainment industry full-time and had instead shifted her focus to content creation, something she said aligns better with where she is in life.
Andrews explained that stepping away from acting was also influenced by her experiences with depression, social anxiety and complex PTSD, adding that creating content on her own terms has allowed her to prioritise both her creativity and her mental wellbeing.
For now, though, it seems her latest challenge isn’t content creation or business negotiations, but convincing people that her catalytic converter WhatsApp line is exactly that: a business line and not an invitation to send nude pictures.
