‘They just had a few drinks’: Owner speaks after men filmed spraying extinguishers

A night out at Mustang Sally’s Pub & Diner in Montana, Pretoria, took a bizarre turn this weekend when two men were caught on camera laughing as they sprayed fire extinguishers inside the restaurant.

The video, which was initially shared on the restaurant’s social media pages before being deleted, drew attention to the unusual behaviour inside the popular eatery.

However, the restaurant’s owner has urged the public not to rush to judgement, saying she does not want the incident to have lasting consequences for the men involved.

“They just had a few drinks,” she told IOL.

The owner confirmed that the men had been identified and that the matter had been resolved privately. She also maintained that the incident had not resulted in any damage to the premises.

“We have identified them and come to an agreement. There wasn’t any damage,” she said.

Despite the footage attracting attention online, the owner said she was reluctant to expose the men publicly, warning that the consequences could extend beyond an embarrassing moment caught on camera.

“These people might lose their jobs because of this, so I wouldn’t go as far as revealing their identities. I wouldn’t ruin their lives because of this,” she said.

Her comments indicate that she wants to draw a line under the incident rather than allow it to escalate further.

While the video has prompted public interest, she said she did not believe additional action was necessary.

“They are good people. We don’t want to take it further,” she said.
